who are you, when the lights are off and no one is around? what is your story?
are you who you say you are? who you present yourself to be? or are we all just wearing a mask around everyone, hiding behind the good to shelter the bad away from anyone to see clearly?
maybe you know who you are.
maybe you don't.
it's not an easy task... finding who you are in a sea of identities. you hear the noise drowning out the truth of everything. you hear your voice, but does anyone else hear you?
the things is, we look for validation in places it doesn't belong. we look for people to "see" us and understand us, but we don't need people to feel seen. we shouldn't even be looking to people to complete our journey of who we are.
who we are is never going to be something we can find without Jesus.
and I'm still searching for who I am, in my mind, in an endless sea of noise.
but maybe there is something there. maybe we find ourselves when we're ready to be whatever He made us to be and not need the constant validation of being "seen."
