Why You Should Download The Bible App

Today, I'm here to talk about the YouVersion Bible App. This isn't a sponsored post or anything, I just really love the app.
I downloaded the app after hearing about it from a lot of Christian YouTubers. I had no intention of using it to read the Bible, as I have my own physical Bible that I love to read from. But, I was looking for a Bible app for my phone to use as a reference whenever I needed to look up a verse on the go, and after hearing so much about this app, decided to give it a try.
My mind was blown.
This app has so many devotionals, so many amazing features that I understand why a lot of people love it.
On the home page of the app, you'll see how many days you've logged in and how many weeks you've used the app consistently. It also marks what day you are on, as well as giving you a verse of the day.
Scrolling down a little further, there is an option to help you find a reading plan, to get you reading your Bible.
Even further, it will show you your most recently completed plans or highlights. You will also get a verse of the day image, which simplifies the main point of the verse with a pretty picture.
There is an option next to the home button to read the Bible, which I rarely use on the app unless I'm searching for something. Next to the Read button is the Plans button. Here, you will find your current reading plans, ones you have completed, and ones you have saved for the future.
You will also find a ton verse images here.
Next to the Search button is the More button, where you can find pretty much everything on the app, such as your highlights, verse images, verse of the day, notes, bookmarks, friends, badges (which I will get to in a minute), videos, and settings. This is like the table of contents for the app.
I wanted to talk about the badges for a minute because, while they are cool to have as little rewards for reading, I'm not a fan of the idea of a reward system for the Bible. However, they do keep track of accomplishments, which is nice. They are given after you complete a certain amount of plans, or highlight a certain number of verses. Usually, they are pretty random, but some, like the Mid-Year Reading Challenge, are talked about before being earned.
Overall, this app has been AMAZING and I recommend it to everyone. It's definitely great for beginners of reading the Bible, and people who have been reading for years.
Do you have the app?
What are your thoughts?
Let me know if you have the app
in the comments so we can add each other
as friends!
